In short

• Threadboard has no accounts, no servers and no internet connection of its own. Everything you enter stays on your iPhone.
• We do not collect, see, transmit or sell any data about you or your clients. There are no analytics, no ads and no third-party tools.
• The AI that organizes messages and the transcription of voice notes run on your device, using the features Apple ships in iOS. Nothing is sent to any server.
• The only thing that leaves your phone is the subscription payment, which Apple handles through the App Store.

1. What the app stores, and where

The app stores on your device, inside its own iOS-protected space:

• Tasks: title, description, column, priority, due date, steps and creation date.
• The clients you add: name, WhatsApp number and trade.
• The messages you choose to share with the app (for example from WhatsApp) and their attachments: photos, videos, audio and links.
• Your settings (reminders, summary time), the free-plan task counter and your subscription status as reported by Apple.

That space is shared only between the app, its share extension and its widget, all installed on the same iPhone. We have no access to it.

2. On-device processing

• Organizing messages. When you share a message, the app uses Apple Intelligence (the system language models) to separate requests and tidy up the wording. This happens on your iPhone. If Apple Intelligence is off or unavailable, the app lets you fill in the task by hand.
• Voice notes are transcribed with the system speech recognition, also on device.
• Suggested due date is computed with fixed rules (for example "by Friday"), with no model and no external service.

Availability depends on your iPhone model, iOS version and system settings. Apple's handling of these features is governed by Apple's privacy policy.

3. Permissions the app may ask for

• Camera and microphone: only when you choose to take a photo or record a video for a task.
• Photos: the app uses the system picker; it receives only what you pick and does not access your library.
• Contacts: the app uses the system picker; it receives only the contact you pick (name and phone) and does not access your address book.
• Notifications: these are local notifications scheduled on your phone. No notifications are sent from a server.

You can change these permissions at any time in iOS Settings.

4. Purchases and subscription

The Pro subscription is purchased, renewed, cancelled and refunded through Apple under the App Store terms. We do not receive your name, address or payment details. Apple may share aggregated, anonymous sales reports with us. The app verifies your subscription status with Apple's tools, on device.

5. Other people's data

The messages you share may contain other people's data: your clients, their phone numbers, their requests. You enter that data, it stays only on your iPhone, and you decide how to use it. Threadboard is a work tool, like a notebook, and does not access that content. If you use the app in a business, complying with the data-protection rules that apply to you is your responsibility.

Threadboard is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by WhatsApp LLC or Meta Platforms, Inc. The app only receives what you choose to share through the iOS share sheet.

6. What we do not do

We do not collect usage data, track you, show ads or use third-party SDKs. If you have enabled sharing diagnostics with developers in iOS, Apple may share anonymous crash reports with us; you control that in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Analytics & Improvements.

7. Retention and deletion

Your data stays on your iPhone until you delete it. Tasks moved to the trash are permanently deleted after 30 days. If you delete the app, everything it stored on that device is deleted. Since we keep no copy, we cannot recover or delete data on your behalf.

If you have iOS backups enabled (iCloud or computer), your Threadboard data is included in them. You control those backups and they are governed by Apple's privacy policy.

8. Security

Your data is protected by iOS: device encryption and passcode, Face ID or Touch ID lock. We recommend keeping a passcode enabled.

9. Children

Threadboard is a work tool and is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). We collect no data from anyone, including children.

10. Your rights

Because we hold no data about you, there is nothing we could hand over, correct or erase: it is all on your iPhone and you manage it in the app. If you have questions about this policy, write to support@threadboardapp.com. If you believe your rights are not respected, you can complain to your country's data-protection authority.

11. Changes

If we change this policy, the new version is shown in the app for you to accept before continuing, and it is published at https://threadboardapp.com/privacy.
