Threadboard Terms of Use

These terms supplement Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA), which applies to every app downloaded from the App Store. By tapping "Accept" in the app you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy.

1. What Threadboard is

Threadboard is a tool that turns messages you share (for example from WhatsApp) into board-style tasks, and lets you create and organize tasks and clients. It runs entirely on your iPhone.

2. License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app on the Apple devices linked to your account, for your personal or business use, under these terms.

3. Your content and your responsibility

• Everything you enter in the app (tasks, clients, messages, attachments) is yours and stays on your device.
• You are responsible for that content: for having the right to store it, for complying with the data-protection rules that apply to your activity regarding your clients' data, and for not using the app for unlawful purposes.
• You decide what to share with the app. The app does not read your messages on its own: it only receives what you send it through the iOS share sheet.

4. Automatic features

• AI message organization and the suggested due date are suggestions. They may be incomplete or wrong: a request split in two, a misread date, an unassigned client. Always review the result before relying on it. The app shows you the original message so you can compare.
• The app does not send messages or make calls on your behalf.
• These features depend on Apple Intelligence and other system capabilities that Apple may change or withdraw. We do not guarantee their availability.

5. Free plan and Pro subscription

• The free plan lets you create up to 25 tasks in total over the lifetime of the app. When you reach the limit you can still view and edit what you already have.
• Threadboard Pro is an auto-renewing subscription, monthly or yearly, with a 7-day free trial the first time. The price is shown in the app and on the App Store before you buy.
• Payment is charged to your Apple account when you confirm the purchase or when the free trial ends. The subscription renews automatically unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the period. You manage and cancel it in your Apple account settings. Refunds are decided by Apple under its terms.
• We may change prices or plans with prior notice; your current subscription does not change until the paid period ends.

6. Backups and data loss

Threadboard has no cloud of its own. Your data lives on your iPhone and is included in the iOS backups you have enabled. If you lose the phone, delete the app or the device fails without a backup, the data is lost. Back up regularly. Tasks in the trash are permanently deleted after 30 days.

7. No warranties

The app is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, we do not warrant that it will run uninterrupted or error-free, or that automatic suggestions are correct. Nothing here limits the rights the law gives you as a consumer.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damages, lost profits, loss of data or business arising from use of the app, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the subscription in the 12 months before the claim. This limitation does not apply to damage caused by willful misconduct or gross negligence, or where the consumer law of your country does not allow it.

9. Third-party trademarks

WhatsApp is a trademark of WhatsApp LLC / Meta Platforms, Inc. Apple, iPhone, iOS, App Store and Apple Intelligence are trademarks of Apple Inc. Threadboard is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by any of them.

10. Apple

Apple is not a party to these terms and is not responsible for the app, its maintenance or support. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.

11. Termination

You may stop using the app at any time by deleting it. We may suspend or withdraw the app, or a feature, with reasonable notice; your data remains on your device.

12. Changes

If we change these terms, the new version is shown in the app for you to accept before continuing, and it is published at https://threadboardapp.com/terms.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Argentina. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of your country of residence and may bring claims before the courts of your home jurisdiction.
